FAMILY and FRIENDS

God created Family as the first institution of the human race. My immediate family is a source of extreme JOY! All the people I have added to my ‘family’ have come from my church and my work. I love people! Family is just people you love!!!

Whether classmates or work acquaintances, friends are made based on mutual experiences or just a chance meeting. Note that you can actually have a friend that you have never met. For years, I knew people by voice only. I had spoken to them many times concerning seed and/or a used car. Some of them I still have never met face to face. I consider them friends on their way to being family.

Family is so much more than blood relatives. My immediate family is supplemented by my church family from Plum Bayou Baptist Church and my work family. I am always adding people to my family. It has been said that every person you meet becomes part of who you are. I agree. Every person and every experience is sown directly into the fabric of our lives.

Friends are more than mere acquaintances, but they aren’t as close as family. They, too, become woven in to our lives. I have met a lot of people that our relationship is governed by goodwill and mutual respect, but they aren’t like family. Nevertheless, if they have made it into my realm of existence, they are here for a purpose.
