A LOT HAS HAPPENED since January 4 of this year…the date of my last post.
My father-in-law passed away on April 22, 2024, after suffering for several years with dementia and Alzheimers. These diseases are absolutely awful to watch. Danny, his mom, and his sister Tina’s family were all with him. They were able to speak with him and tell him they would be okay and he could go HOME! Such a special moment for the family, but WHAT A MOMENT! As he stepped into the arms of the One who saved him. Saved his soul and delivered him from alcoholism.
Vernon Reed could be rough around the edges, but he was the best father-in-law I could have ever asked for. He often told me that Danny was his favorite possession. I know he loved him so very much. He recorded a message to me on a cassette right after we got married. He told me that Danny had changed when he met me. It’s just amazing what love does in your life!
I have no doubt that I was Vernon’s favorite daughter-in-law. Yes, he told me that frequently!
Forever in our hearts and in our memories…Love you BIG!
William Vernon Reed October 30, 1943—April 22, 2024.
Plum Bayou Baptist Church has a new pastor. Bro. Shelby and his wife, Deborah, live in Redfield. They travel to us on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. We love them! God has definitely moved to bring him to usl He has the sweetest, strongest heart for bringing the Word and the love of God to Wright, Arkansas.
Delta Grow Seed Co has opened up a general store at the office. It has been an experience setting things up. It is FUN! We have expanded our garden seed offerings and added farm and garden supplies, fishing equipment, natural healing items, pest control, organic snacks, and swimming pool supplies.
I have been making cheesecakes each week for Thomas at Real Fish. I began to notice that my right arm was losing strength. It has now become almost useless. I am scheduled for neck surgery on June 10th. I pray that this is the cause of the issue and the root of my pain. Danny will also have elbow surgery due to a bone spur tearing his tendon. Bone spurs must be contagious! They seem to run rampant in this household.
Maybe I will find time to post before the next four months are up!
