My poochie-momma heart hurts. It has been a rough year for the dogs in our family. We lost our rat terrier/chihuahua mix on June 5 and our pit bull, Cocoa, on July 8. Both of them had good lives in this family. I loved them so very much! My niece’s red heeler was run over by a car in Florida the week Holly Bell died. She was my ‘great-grand-pooch,’ since she was our previous dog, Lady Bug’s grandbaby.
Dogs are made to love and be loved. They are trusting and full of love. Anyone who is cruel to a dog is unfit to live. Seems harsh, but if you can’t be kind to a puppy, how can you expect to interact well with a human.
On loving dog and loving people, it is a sad world when our law system sets more penalties for harming animals than humans. God claimed mankind as His greatest creation. Our law system has allowed an untold number of babies in the womb to be murdered. Backwards world, certainly; nevertheless, animals matter, too.
