Faith, Family, Farm, Food, and Friends.

Introduction

Hello! My name is Patricia Lynn Reed. I live on an oxbow lake off of the Arkansas River in Wright, Arkansas, and I am married to Daniel Edward Reed. Daniel and I are both Southern Arkansas transplants, he being born in El Dorado and me in Crossett.

Crazy as it sounds, I always wanted to be a housewife like my paternal grandmother. She worked one day outside her home at a dry cleaner. When my grandfather picked her up from work, told her he would pay her to stay home and take care of him and the kids. Needless to say, she took him up on the offer.

To be a housewife and mother, you need a husband and children. I did not date until age thirty-five and married my first boyfriend within four months. We met in my dad’s living room in the summer of 2001, and we married the day after Thanksgiving 2001, his twenty-ninth birthday. Due to health reasons, Danny was unable to father children, so we do not have kids of our own.

My sister, Deedee, is two years older than me, and she has five children. Danny has three siblings, and they have numerous children. We have become a pretty good aunt/uncle pair to some mighty awesome nephews and nieces…and great nephews and nieces.

Our home is filled with paw prints from our four doggies. Our four pooches are Charlie and Cocoa (pit bull terriers) and Dixie Lou and her daughter, Daisy Duke (Schnoodles). Let me tell you, these canine cuties are like spoiled children. I cannot imagine how utterly rotten a child of mine and Danny’s would have been!

Faith, Family, Farm, Food, & Friends

I have designated pages that pertain to the things that effect my life daily. I have grouped Family and Friends together, as well as Farm and Food. Since my Faith is the center point of my life, Faith has its own page. I live a simple life that is totally blessed. I hope to share my life with you, perhaps inspiring you to love, peace, and joy.

Joys come in the strangest of moments and places.

This is me with our Dixie Lou. We drove to Port Barre, Louisiana, to pick her up in 2018. The long trip was well worth it, because she is the ultimate pooch! She went to work with me for over three years, but then she got too loud. Schnoodles have a high-pitched bark and she can definitely disturb your work.

Family Gallery…my parents and their parents and siblings included.

It’s all about simply living a blessed life!
